Even through that first part, during which people were actually getting seated, the response of our improvised public was simply amazing.
Last Saturday something really cool happened in our little universe. I am happy and proud to announce that we performed for the first time at Fantasia Festival 2015 in front of a crowd of about 800 people. As far as I can remember, playing at Fantasia had always been one of my dreams, but living it for real defies its dream version.
I and Shade can’t do anything but to feel grateful to the Consulate of Japan and Fantasia 2015 for the invitation. Hopefully we’ll be able to go back to perform at the festival once again in the near future. Even though I missed a step, fell and hurt my left leg right before it started, the adrenaline and excitement kept me going through the show to the point I even forgot it all happened. Gladly both of my violins are safe as I fell directly on my knee protecting them with my heart lifting both arms high up to the sky. Even through that first part, during which people were actually getting seated, the response of our improvised public was simply amazing.
I’d like to offer a special thanks to the people from the Consulate of Japan, thank you guys for all the hard work that it took to organize this wonderful night. Also big thanks for the nice welcoming and warmth of the Fantasia staff. We felt like home over there and the movie was totally charming and intelligent. Lastly, I also want to thank everyone that came there to see us, and everyone that cheered us on even though they weren’t there for us at all. You gave us all so much love making our first Fantasia appearance a blast.
Here’s our gift to you, as a sweet memory of that wonderful experience that we lived together.
Enjoy our music!
