Nika, from her first name Veronika, is a fantasy violinist that combines music and writing. Her music is a mix of instrumental pieces resting on a base of alternative rock with Japanese, gypsy and even classical influences.
Why Cantabile? Because of its meaning, “while singing…” As a violin player, she is by definition a wordless mermaid… and it is without lyrics that she freely expresses her feelings, enchanting her listeners through the voice of her violins.
On her latest project, inspired by the Mussorgsky – Ravel, ”Pictures From An Exhibition” concept, Nika is collaborating with talented painters such as Maya Sunn, Ryota Aoki and Tania Mignacca. Inspired from her music, and the different scenes and emotions portrayed in her fairy-tale world, their paintings depict the symbolism, reveries, and poetry found into her work.
Even through her cover pieces, you’ll have a glimpse of the infinite potential of her art.
